Our security surroundings have in recent years been increasingly characterised by uncertainty and unpredictability. The threat from terrorism and failed states has been augmented by a new focus on power politics and the possibility of interstate, armed, conflicts.

Which threats might materialise and which technologies might be involved? How will allies and joint forces cooperate? What are the implications for land forces?

These are some of the questions we will discuss at the Norwegian Army Summit in Oslo on 17 October 2017. The event starts at 08:00.

The Norwegian Army Summit takes place at Akershus Fortress in central Oslo. The event is hosted by the Norwegian Army in partnership with The Norwegian Atlantic Committee, http://www.atlanterhavskomiteen.no/

The event typically attracts 250–300 attendees. These include politicians, government officials, representatives from non-governmental organisations, scholars, journalists and military officers. Some spaces are also available to the general public.
