Army Summit 2021

The topic for this year’s Army Summit will be “Total Defense”, which for Norway describes our whole-of-government approach to security and defense, but which also includes a heavy focus on increased cooperation with our most important allies.

The Norwegian Army Summit is an annual conference hosted by the Chief of the Norwegian Army in collaboration with the Secretary General of The Norwegian Atlantic Committee. Army Summit is the most important civilian-military event of the year for the Norwegian Army, and gathers political leaders, policymakers, diplomats, academics, and military professionals discussing important issues of the day. The aim of the conference is to highlight current themes in international security and defense policy, and to discuss the future role of landpower in a wider social and political context.
