The 2021 edition of the Leangkollen Security Conference was held fully digital on February 1st-2nd. Due to the situation related to the COVID-19 virus, we had to arrange a different Conference than usual as we could not gather people at the Norwegian Nobel Institute or at the Leangkollen Conference Center. That being said, going fully digital gave us the opportunity to invite some of the biggest experts on security issues in the world.

_______________________________________
During two morning sessions over two days, we addressed some of the broad and complex security landscape that the Transatlantic alliance is facing.
The opening speech was given by none other than the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg. He was followed by former High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini. On the second day of the Conference, we entered the digital sphere where we were joined by Professor Francis Fukuyama who gave this day's opening remarks.
We were also joined by Professor Thomas Rid from Johns Hopkins University, as well as our own Foreign Minister Ine Eriksen Søreide. In addition, we presented a wide range of excellent Norwegian speakers who contribute to what became fruitful and though provoking discussions.
We have created a separate website for the 2021 Leangkollen Security Conference. Plese vistit www.leangkollensecurityconference.com.
