YATA (Youth Atlantic Treaty Association) Norway is a youth organisation under the Norwegian Atlantic Committee (DNAK) constructed to raise awareness of security, defense and foreign policy issues among young professionals, students and cadets. Anyone is welcome as a member, you do not have to be an expert in the field. Your interest to learn and participate in our network is more than enough.

Anyone is welcome to become a member. Your interest to learn and participate in YATA's network is more than enough.
YATA Norway is politically independent and does not represent any special interest group or sponsor. Everyone in YATA is a volunteer and membership is available for anyone. YATA has five local chapters who are active in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger and Tromsø. In addition, a national executive board situated in Oslo is responsible for administration and national projects.
YATA Norway’s activities include events like embassy visits and lectures from politicians, military leaders and scientists, as well as visits to military bases and workshops. YATA also has more informal social events where the participants can discuss and build network. YATA believes that engaging in political debate should be both fun and educational.
YATA is one of Norway's biggest organizations for young people with an interest in security, defense and foreign policy. You can join them by becoming a member (50 kr annually) here.
